Our Pro Bono Policy
Support for pro bono activity is a core value of the Firm. The Firm believes that lawyers have a duty to devote time to serve their society in positive ways.
Key elements of our Pro Bono Policy are as follows:
Every partner is expected to support this core value and encouraged to be involved in pro bono work. Pro bono contributions are included in the criteria for annual partner performance evaluations.
Non-partner lawyers are encouraged to be involved in at least one pro bono matter per year. All Firm client work, including pro bono, is taken into account in performance evaluations. The existence of an appropriate contribution to the Firm’s pro bono activities will be a positive factor when considering candidates for promotion to partner. Specific allowances for pro bono hours tied to bonus eligibility are determined on an office or regional basis.
