Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Providence Equity Partners (Providence) on its sale of a 50 percent stake in Globeducate to Wendel, a French investment company.
"This is the latest in a number of significant deals on which we have advised Providence," said White & Case partner Richard Jones, who led the Firm's deal team. "It is another example of our capabilities advising on high value, cross-border transactions."
Providence, a Globeducate shareholder since 2017, will retain its remaining 50 percent stake alongside Wendel, which will invest approximately €625 million. The transaction is expected to complete in the second half of 2024, pending customary regulatory approvals.
Founded in 1972 in Spain, Globeducate provides primary and secondary education through a network of 65 premium bilingual and international schools, as well as online programs, across 11 countries primarily in Europe.
