Biography
Overview
Jan Jensen is White & Case's Nordic Head of Private Equity. In a career spanning over 25 years, Jan has led more than 120 Mergermarket credited transactions, including LBOs, public takeovers, rescue investments and restructurings. Jan regularly works across multiple jurisdictions with some of the leading Nordic and European private equity firms and their portfolio companies as well as international corporates, including EQT, Bridgepoint, Triton, Nordstjernan, Advent International, Danaher Corp. and Lockheed Martin.

Representation of EQT on:
- the acquisition of Envirotainer, a global provider of temperature-controlled air cargo containers.
- the acquisition of shares in Beijer Ref, making EQT the largest shareholder of Beijer Ref.
- the SEK 18.25 billion (€1.7 billion) sale of IP-Only to EQT Infrastructure.
- the SEK 6 billion (€578 million) public takeover offer to the shareholders of Karo Pharma, listed on Nasdaq Stockholm.
- the SEK 6.95 billion (€670 million) sale of Piab to Patricia Industries.
- its investment in Epidemic Sound.
- the acquisition of Candidator Holding.
- the acquisition of FEBA Automation, a Germany-based developer and producer of robotic gripping solutions for customers in the manufacturing industry, through its portfolio company Piab.
Representation of Karo Pharma, a consumer healthcare company and a portfolio company of the private equity firm EQT, on:
- its fully underwritten SEK 2.5 billion (approximately US$260 million) rights issue.
- its €300 million acquisition of Sylphar, a Belgium-based over-the-counter products manufacturer, from private equity firm Vendis Capital and Robin List, Sylphar's founder.
- the SEK 3.4 billion (US$360 million) acquisition of Trimb Healthcare.
Representation of Stora Enso, a global renewable materials company, on:
- the sale by a consortium of Swedish industrial companies, including Stora Enso, of Vindin and subsidiaries. Vindin operates a number of onshore wind projects in Sweden and Finland and was acquired by NTR to its NTR Renewable Energy Income Fund II. NTR is a leading investor in wind energy and renewable infrastructure, and is based in Ireland.
- its sale of Nymölla paper production site in Sweden to Sylvamo, a US-based global producer of uncoated paper, for an enterprise value of approximately €150 million.
- its sale of Maxau paper production site in Germany to Schwarz Produktion, the umbrella brand for Schwarz Group's production companies, including food production and sustainable packaging for superstore chains Lidl and Kaufland, for an enterprise value of approximately €210 million.
Representation of Triton on its acquisition of a majority share in Esperi Care, a leading residential care provider in Finland.
Representation of Arcus Infrastructure Partners, an investment fund manager focused on European infrastructure, on its acquisition of Opus Bilprovning, one of Sweden's largest vehicle inspection companies.
Representation of consortium led by APG, on the acquisition of 50 percent of the shares in Stockholm Exergi from Fortum for SEK 29.5 billion.
