Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Stora Enso Oyj on its sale of Nymölla paper production site in Sweden to Sylvamo, a US-based global producer of uncoated paper, for an enterprise value of approximately €150 million.
Listed on Nasdaq Helsinki and Nasdaq Stockholm, Stora Enso manufactures renewable products in packaging, biomaterials, wooden construction and paper, and is one of the largest private forest owners in the world. Stora Enso has approximately 22,000 employees and sales in 2021 of €10.2 billion.
Listed on New York Stock Exchange, Sylvamo is a global paper company with mills in Europe, Latin America and North America. Sylvamo has more than 7,500 employees and sales in 2021 of US$3.5 billion.
