White & Case advises Toyota Tsusho Corporation on US$1.34 billion acquisition of Radius

Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised leading Japanese trading company Toyota Tsusho Corporation (Toyota Tsusho) on its US$1.34 billion acquisition of North American metal recycling and steel manufacturing company Radius Recycling, Inc. (Radius).

"White & Case advised on a transaction which demonstrates Toyota Tsusho's commitment to expanding circular economy initiatives and supporting the accelerated global efforts toward achieving carbon neutrality," said White & Case partner Nels Hansen, who co-led the deal team. Toyota Tsusho aims to integrate Radius' strengths with its own to create a closed-loop supply chain focused on recycled materials, enhancing the supply of high quality recycling materials in North America and promoting global manufacturing decarbonization.
