Biography
Overview
Johannes's practice focuses on German and European antitrust law, as well as foreign direct investment (FDI) matters.
He advises on merger control and FDI reviews in complex cross border mergers, abuse of dominance, horizontal and vertical cartel cases, antitrust litigation and general antitrust compliance. He has a profound expertise in a broad range of sectors with a special focus on the telecommunications and IT sectors, as well as regulated industries. In particular, Johannes has structured partnerships and distribution agreements in the area of cloud computing and virtualization services. His deep understanding of business processes and solution-oriented work are great assets to his clients.
Prior to joining White & Case, Johannes worked as an inhouse competition lawyer of a German Fortune 500 company. His career as an attorney started in the cologne office of an international law firm with an antitrust focus. His traineeship included working for law firms and authorities also in New York and Hong Kong.
