White & Case advises Rönesans Holding on first PPP healthcare project in Kazakhstan

Global law firm White & Case LLP and GKC Partners have advised contracting and investment company Rönesans Holding on the financing of a €456 million public–private partnership (PPP) healthcare project for the construction and operation of a cutting-edge hospital in Kazakhstan, which is listed by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan as a project of particular significance.
"Our role advising on another cornerstone project demonstrates White & Case's pioneering position and experience advising on PPP, construction, infrastructure and project finance transactions," said White & Case partner Maxim Telemtayev, who co-led the Firm's deal team.
Rönesans Holding will build and maintain an innovative 110,000-square-meter multi-speciality hospital to serve over one million people across the city of Kokshetau and the wider Akmola region in Kazakhstan. The project is funded by six international financial institutions including EBRD, AIIB, ICD, DEG, Proparco, and DBK.
White & Case advised Renell Kokshetau LLP, a Rönesans Holding subsidiary, throughout the contract negotiation, commercial and financial close stages.
