White & Case Advises Softbank Vision Fund II on Investment in Envelop Risk
1 min read
Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Softbank Vision Fund II on its investment as lead investor in the US$130 million Series B financing of Envelop Risk.
Envelop Risk is a leading data-driven underwriting and risk analytics business, which uses artificial intelligence to drive decision making and risk modelling. Headquartered in Bristol, UK, with offices in London, Bermuda, and San Francisco, Envelop Risk’s proprietary model assesses a wide range of companies, their susceptibility to cyber-attack and the sophistication of their defenses. That data is then benchmarked against emerging and historical attack trends to predict expected losses, which allows for a better understanding of reinsurance pricing.
The White & Case team which advised on the transaction was led by partner Dan Turgel and associate Helen Pantelides, with support from partners Jonah Anderson, Nicholas Greenacre, Helen Joseph, Jonathan Rogers, Tim Hickman and Marc Israel (all London), counsel Sara Nordin (Brussels) and associates Nick Crawford, Francis Brown, Mhairi Fraser, Francesca MacSwiney, Harriet Baldwin, Joe Devine, Luc Rosenberg (all London) and Matthias Vangenechten (Brussels).
