White & Case Advises Basalt on Acquisition of goetel GmbH and German Network Construction GmbH

Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Basalt Infrastructure Partners LLP (Basalt) and its fund Basalt III on the acquisition of goetel GmbH and German Network Construction GmbH (together goetel).
Based in Göttingen, Germany, goetel is a leading regional telecommunication infrastructure provider which owns and operates an established and rapidly expanding high speed Fibre To The Home (FTTH) and Fibre to the Cabinet (FTTC) network with a clear focus on the rural areas of the German regions of Hesse, Lower Saxony and North Rhine-Westphalia.
Basalt, which bring valuable experience in the fibre sector, will support goetel in its development and further promote goetel's growth aspirations. The transaction is expected to close during the third quarter of 2021.
Basalt is the exclusive investment advisor to three Basalt funds, which are infrastructure equity investment funds focusing on mid-market investments in utilities, power, transport, and communications infrastructure in North America and Europe.
