Overview

Nada Hussein is an associate of MHR & Partners in association with White & Case.

Nada is a member of the Firm's Project Development and Finance Group. She has significant experience in advising regional and international banks and financial institutions on project development, banking and project finance aspects of various complex cross-border financing projects. She has been ranked as a "Rising Star" by IFLR 1000 in 2020, 2021 and 2022.

Prior to joining MHR & Partners in association with White & Case, Nada worked for a top tier law firm in Cairo, Egypt.

Experience

Represented the Saudi Power Procurement Company in the tender process of several renewable energy projects.

Acted on behalf of JBIC, NEXI and a consortium of commercial lenders as lenders local counsel in relation to the first BOO wind farm power project in Egypt, located in the Gulf of Suez area, to develop, build, finance and operate a 250 MW wind farm project, which successfully achieved financial close in December 2017.*

Acted on behalf of IFC, EBRD and OPIC as lenders local counsel in relation to the second BOO wind farm power project in Egypt, located in the Gulf of Suez area, to develop, build, finance and operate a 250 MW wind farm project, which successfully achieved financial close in August 2019.*

Advised ADES Group in connection with the US$1.6 billion hybrid (conventional and Islamic) financing granted to ADES Arabia Holding JSC (a newly incorporated entity and one of the few holding companies incorporated in Saudi Arabia) and ADES Saudi Limited Company for the refinancing of existing debt and financing recent major acquisitions

Advised African Export Import Bank (Afreximbank) in relation to a US$ 3 billion short term facilities to Arab African International Bank, United Bank and National Bank of Egypt. The Facilities will be guaranteed by a guarantee issued by the Central Bank of Egypt.

Represented ADES Group in relation to 6 bilateral facilities between ADES Group and Apicorp, Riyadh Bank, ANB Bank, Alinma Bank, Banque Saudi Fransi and Saudi National Bank worth US$1.8 billion.

Representing EG Bank in relation to EGP 1.8 billion facility to Landmark for Real Estate Development for the development of a mixed use real-estate development project in New Cairo (1 Ninety Project).

Acted on behalf of Mashreq Bank in connection with a US$100m facility to United Energy Group secured by the group's concession to oil & gas assets in Egypt.
