Overview

Carola Boeckmann is an Associate at our Hamburg office and concentrates on advising national and international clients on all aspects of individual and collective labor law.

Carola's main area of practice is giving employment law advice in restructuring and transaction matters and in insolvency scenarios. She advises clients in complex transactions with labor law issues and in extensive restructuring matters, such as headcount reductions or outsourcing projects, including transfer of undertakings (TUPE), drafting M&A agreements and negotiations with works councils. Clients value her professional experience from working in the HR department of an international company before joining White & Case. Furthermore, Carola represents clients before labor courts through all judicial instances.

During her time at White & Case, Carola spent four months on client secondment, supporting the client in employment related matters of a major restructuring project. 

Carola is a member of the Lawyers' Association Hamburg and the Hamburg Association for Labor Law.

Experience

Advising The KaDeWe Group GmbH, the operator of three German luxury department stores, on its self-administration proceedings, including insolvency and reorganization law, employment and tenancy law, and on the sale of the business operations to Thai Central Group.

Advising the Swiss-headquartered digital lending platform Teylor on the acquisition of the business operations of its competitor Creditshelf AG including Creditshelf Solutions GmbH.

Advising in the restructuring, sale and shutdown of companies in different industries, for example Air Berlin-Group (Aviation / MRO), REGE Motorenteile (Automotive), Gardeur-Gruppe (Fashion), Henschel (Metal), German Pellets (Energy), Hamburg International (Aviation), Innova (Retail), fromAtoB (Touristic) et.al.
