Overview

Arnaud Cagi-Nicolau is a partner in our Global Private Equity and Investment Funds Practices and a partner in our Transactional practice based in Luxembourg.

Arnaud specializes in collective investment funds and other investment vehicles. His practice encompasses a broad range of alternative investment funds including private equity, real estate, debt and infrastructure funds. He also advises on derivative documentation (implementation of EMIR, ISDA documentation and derivative instruments implementing investment strategies), collateral management, securities lending, repo and prime brokerage arrangements.

He is a member of ALFI (Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry) since 2011.

Prior to joining White & Case, Arnaud practiced in the Investment funds, Private equity and Finance departments of the Luxembourg office of a major international law firm.

Advising BC Partners in relation to its SOF investment program, establishing vintage funds following a debt investment strategy.

Advising Africa50 on the setting up and the fundraising Africa50 Infrastructure Acceleration Fund I LP, a Mauritius close-ended infrastructure private equity mobilizing large scale and long-term institutional capital from African and international institutions to make investments in infrastructure projects across the African continent.

Advising Vortex Energy in connection with the set-up of Vortex Energy IV, SCSp, an energy-transition private equity fund.

Advising SCOR Investment Partners SE in connection with SCOR ILS Fund S.A. SICAV-SIF, following an insurance-linked securities investment strategy.

Advising Die Mobiliar in relation to the investments performed by Mobi Alternative Investment Fund SICAV FIS.

Advising European Investment Fund with respect to its guaranteeing transactions.

Advising Proman Holding AG in relation to the debt financing transactions of Low Emission Methanol Shipping Company S.C.A SICAV-RAIF.

Advising International Maritime Industries, Inc. in connection with the setting-up of GMF Global Maritime Fund RAIF V.C.I.C. PLC.

Advising Cobepa SA, a private equity investor based in Belgium with over EUR 4.4 billion net asset value, on its acquisition of Ned Stevens, one of the leading gutter cleaning and home maintenance service providers in the United States, from AVALT.

Advising Cubera Private Equity AS, being part of Storebrand group, in connection with the setting up of Cubera International Private Equity 22, a private equity vintage sub-fund following a fund-of-fund investment strategy.

Advising Storebrand in relation to setting up an alternative investment fund platform in Luxembourg including private equity, real estate and infrastructure sub-fund.*

Advising Quilvest Capital Partners in relation to setting up a club-fund private equity vehicle as well as club-fund real estate vehicle.*
