Alfonso A. Vargas Mayoral

Alfonso Vargas focuses his practice on Real Estate and Financing. He represents domestic and international clients in complex transactions involving financings, sales, acquisitions and developments across all real estate asset classes, with a special focus on industrial assets, with more than 10 years of experience advising and representing clients, domestic and foreign financial institutions, private equity firms and developers.

Alfonso has advised domestic and international lenders in structuring credit facilities for Mexican public and private companies, particularly in structured lending transactions and with real estate guarantees.

Before joining White & Case, Alfonso worked for more than 10 years in a leading Mexican law firm in the real estate, financing and M&A practices. Alfonso has been recognized since 2022 by IFLR1000 as a "Rising Star" in the Real Estate practice in Mexico, as well as "Recommended" by Legal 500 in the same practice area. In 2023, Alfonso was recognized as "One to Watch in Mexico" by Best Lawyers, for his high caliber work in Real Estate Law. Alfonso is a lawyer by the Escuela Libre de Derecho (2013) and has a masters in law (LL.M.) from the University of Texas, School of Law (2019) specialized in business law.
