Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised WE Soda Ltd, an affiliate of Ciner Enterprises Inc., on its approximately US$1.425 billion acquisition of Genesis Alkali, the largest US-based producer of natural soda ash, from Genesis Energy LP (NYSE: GEL), which establishes WE Soda as the largest global producer of soda ash.
The acquisition also increases WE Soda's total production capacity to approximately 9.5 million metric tonnes per year, enhancing the company's scale, geographic diversification, customer reach, supply chain infrastructure and sustainability leadership.
