1 min read
Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Pluspetrol in the acquisition of the Cerro Grande and Peralta I and II wind farms in Uruguay, owned by the DIF Infrastructure V and DIF Infrastructure VI funds, managed by CVC DIF.
These wind farms constitute the second-largest private renewable power generation portfolio in Uruguay. Located in the departments of Tacuarembó and Cerro Largo, they feature 72 Enercon E-92 wind turbines, with a total installed capacity of 169 MWs. This infrastructure provides sustainable energy to approximately 60,000 Uruguayan households, representing an annual reduction of approximately 25,000 tons of CO2 considering Uruguay’s energy grid matrix.
The White & Case team included partners Carlos Viana (Miami), Ignacio Paz (Madrid) and Sandra Rafferty (London); local partner Adnan Bekdur (Dubai); counsel Julio Peralta (Madrid); and associates Heidi Blomqvist (London), Luis Leos (Houston) and Leticia Calbacho (Madrid).
