White & Case advises Macquarie Asset Management on acquisition of remaining 20 percent stake in National Gas Transmission

Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Macquarie Asset Management on the acquisition of the remaining 20 percent stake in National Gas Transmission.

"The transaction is another milestone in this landmark investment, particularly given the critical role the National Gas infrastructure is expected to play as the UK delivers its ambitious energy security and decarbonization goals," said White & Case partner Tim Sheddick, who led the Firm's deal team.

National Gas owns and operates the regulated gas National Transmission System in Great Britain. The transmission network comprises approximately 7,660 kilometres of high-pressure pipe and 21 compressor stations connecting to eight distribution networks and other third-party independent systems.

The White & Case team in London which advised on the transaction was led by partners Tim Sheddick and Tom Pound, with support from partners Marc Israel, Katie Hicks, Martin Forbes, Elizaveta Bazarova, Anthony Colegrove, Nicholas Greenacre, Lindsay Canning and Will Smith and associates Nicole Chatrath, Hanna Gaffar and Kate Kelliher.
