White & Case advises EIG and MidOcean Energy on acquisition of LNG interests in Australia

Global Law Firm White & Case LLP has advised MidOcean Energy (MidOcean), a liquefied natural gas company formed and managed by EIG, on its acquisition of Tokyo Gas' interests in the Australian Gorgon LNG, Pluto LNG and Queensland Curtis LNG projects.
"This is an important transaction for EIG and MidOcean which involved bespoke structuring and detailed analysis of three separate LNG projects, each with its own joint venture and shareholding arrangements," said White & Case partner Brendan Quinn, who led the Firm's deal team. "Our deep global expertise in LNG and energy transition combined with our corporate capabilities in Australia enabled White & Case to support EIG and MidOcean on this complex transaction."
The deal reached completion on March 28, 2024.
