White & Case Advises Drake Food Service International on disposal of Papa John’s portfolio

Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Drake Food Service International ETVE S.L.U. on the disposal of its portfolio of 91 franchised restaurants operating under the Papa John's brand in the United Kingdom to Papa John's International, Inc.
The transaction saw over 1,000 employees transfer across to Papa John's and creates a new corporate-owned restaurant portfolio consisting of 91 locations across the United Kingdom.
Drake is the largest international franchisee for the Papa John's brand globally. It continues to hold exclusive master franchise rights for the Papa John's brand in Chile, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Spain, Panama and Portugal.
Papa John's International, Inc. was founded in 1984 and is the world's third-largest pizza delivery company, with restaurants in approximately 50 countries.
The White & Case team which advised on the transaction was led by partners Ian Ivory, Will Smith (both London) and Gary Silverman (Chicago) and included associates Will Willoughby, Esme Wong, Joe Barnes, Ross Power and Jack Elliott (all London).
