White & Case advises Blackstone on financing for Ambienta’s acquisition of Wateralia
1 min read
Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Blackstone on the financing for Ambienta SGR Fund III's sale of Wateralia, a leading European water technology group, to Ambienta Fund IV and Ambienta Water Pumps.
The transaction, valued at approximately €500 million, was supported by lead investors Lexington Partners and StepStone. It also involved a reinvestment by Wateralia’s management and the founding families of Caprari and Calpeda, companies controlled by Wateralia.
The acquisition was financed through the issuance of privately placed notes fully subscribed by funds managed by Blackstone. The proceeds of the notes were used to partly finance the purchase price, refinance the existing indebtedness of Wateralia and its subsidiaries and provide additional resources for potential future acquisitions and investments.
The White & Case team that advised on the transaction included partners Iacopo Canino (Milan), Gareth Eagles, Emma Foster and James Greene (all London), local partner Bianca Caruso, associate Beatrice Bertuzzi and lawyer Giovanni D’Apollo (all Milan).
