White & Case advises Battery Ventures on acquisition of fleet management software providers Vimcar and Avrios

Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised international private equity investor Battery Ventures (Battery) on its entry into the growing European fleet management sector via investment in two complementary SaaS (software-as-a-service) companies – Vimcar and Avrios.
Following its investment, Battery plans to merge Vimcar and Aviros into a pan-European company that offers its customers fully integrated fleet management.
Germany-based Vimcar, and Switzerland-based Avrios, together employ more than 250 people and serve customers across Europe with software solutions for fleet monitoring, vehicle tracking, cost management, regulatory compliance and other business areas.
Founded in 1983 and operating six offices worldwide, Battery supports companies in sectors including software and services, enterprise infrastructure, online marketplaces, healthcare IT and industrial technology at all phases, from seed and early stage to growth and buyout.
