Biography
Overview
Lisa is an associate in the Firm's Antitrust/Competition practice group.
Her practice covers a broad range of German and European competition law matters, including merger control and antitrust. In particular, Lisa advises on complex cross-border merger control and Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) reviews across a variety of sectors. Lisa also represents companies in court proceedings, including in cartel damage proceedings as well as other antitrust-related litigation.
Prior to joining White & Case, Lisa gathered substantial work experience as a trainee lawyer in the Cologne and Brussels office of a renowned US law firm, and at the European Commission.
Experience
Advised the international private equity investor Battery Ventures (Battery) on the acquisition of steute Technologies GmbH & Co. KG (steute), a developer and manufacturer of switches, sensors and other products for medical and industrial applications.
Advised Pollen Street Capital (PSC) on its intended acquisition and combination of niiio finance group AG, fundsaccess AG, FundHero SA, FinTecc LLC and MiFID-Recorder GmbH.
Advised GlobalWafers on antitrust and competition matters as well as foreign direct investment control aspects in relation to the voluntary public takeover offer to the shareholders of Siltronic AG.
Advised Nestlé in the merger control proceedings related to its acquisition of a majority stake in Ankerkraut.
Advised Asia-Germany Productivity Promotion Limited ("AGIC Capital") in relation to the foreign direct investment control clearance of its acquisition of a majority stake in ATEC Pharmatechnik.
Advised Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (Masdar) on foreign direct investment control aspects regarding its joint venture with Iberdrola Group to develop and operate an offshore wind farm in the German Baltic Sea.
Advised Fluxys on the acquisition of Macquarie Asset Management's stake in Open Grid Europe (OGE), the largest transmission system operator in Germany, on antitrust and competition matters as well as foreign direct investment control aspects.
Advised global technology company ABB on the acquisition of the PowerTech Converter business, a leading supplier of auxiliary power converter solutions for light rail vehicles and metros, from the PTC Group.
Advised several private equity firms (such as Battery Ventures and Nordic Capital) on merger control and foreign direct investment control aspects in relation to various acquisitions.
Representation of several defendants in follow-on damages proceedings.
