White & Case Advises AlphaStruxure, a Schneider Electric and Carlyle Joint Venture, in Its Integrated Fleet Electrification Infrastructure Project

Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised AlphaStruxure, a joint venture between Schneider Electric and Carlyle Group on its Integrated Fleet Electrification Infrastructure Project to Support Montgomery County, Maryland’s Growing Electric Bus Fleet.

The joint venture, along with The Carlyle Group, will enable at least 44 buses in Ride On, Montgomery County Transit's fleet, to transition from diesel to electric. This will advance the county’s goal to reach net-zero carbon emissions by 2035, reducing lifetime emissions by more than 155,000 tons, while delivering resilience to climate events and power outages.

The Brookville Smart Energy Bus Depot is a first-of-its-kind integration of microgrid and EV- charging infrastructure, delivering sustainability, reliability and resilience for the county’s public transportation system.
