Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Alpha Bank S.A., one of the Greek systemic banks, on the partial disposal of a large and diverse portfolio of real estate assets in Greece.
White & Case partner Debashis Dey, who co-led the Firm's deal team, said: "We have supported our long-standing client Alpha Bank on yet another transformational transaction and one of the most important real estate deals in Greece in recent years."
White & Case advised on the creation of a holding structure with an initial perimeter of nearly €400 million in real estate assets in Greece, which, following sales to third parties and some exclusions, was adjusted to a perimeter of 460 assets with a value of nearly €300 million, which will remain minority-owned by Alpha Bank.
The White & Case team which advised on the transaction was led by partners Debashis Dey (Dubai and London) and Steven Worthington (Abu Dhabi) and included local partners Adnan Bekdur, Philip Vavalidis and Greg Pospodinis (all Dubai), counsel Claudio Medeossi (Dubai), and associates Thomas Jacques, Salvia Matonyte (both Dubai) and Hugh Brunjes (Abu Dhabi).
