White & Case advises on IFR’s “Yankee Bond of the Year” transaction

Global law firm White & Case LLP advised on a transaction that won International Financing Review's 2024 "Yankee Bond of the Year" award.

The Firm advised Nordea Bank Abp (Nordea) as its US counsel on the bank's US$800 million Additional Tier 1 (AT1) notes offering. The transaction was commended for its exceptional timing and execution that made it possible for Nordea to achieve the lowest coupon for a US dollar AT1 deal by a European bank since early 2022 and secure one of the tightest reset spreads by such borrowers in the Yankee bond market.
