The M&A Community Belgium has recognized two matters on which global law firm White & Case LLP advised with "Best Exit" awards at its annual M&A Awards ceremony.
The winning deals are:
Best Mid Cap Private Equity Exit 2024: Smile Invest exists SmartSD
White & Case represented private investment company Cobepa on the acquisition (including financing) of a majority stake in SmartSD, a distributor of camera security, access control, intrusion and fire detection solutions. The current shareholders of SmartSD—including Smile Invest and the founding managers—will reinvest in the acquisition vehicle. Park Square Capital and SMBC provided financing.
Best Large Cap Private Equity Exit 2024: Summit Partners exits CluePoints
White & Case represented private equity firm Summit Partners on the sale of CluePoints SA— a provider of AI-based software for risk-based monitoring and data quality oversight of clinical trial studies—to US PE firm EQT. Summit Partners, an investor in CluePoints since 2020, and Clinimetrics SA, a co-founder of CluePoints, will retain minority stakes with participation in this funding round.
