Capital Markets ESG Week – Accelerating the Sustainability Transition

scroll down

Environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues are the focus of global capital market stakeholders and the opportunities that sustainable capital and the transition away from non-sustainable practices provide. Following the Paris Agreement, significant progress has been made across the spectrum of capital -raising instruments, in significantly upscaling the financial resources available to help the world adapt to, and reduce the impacts of a changing climate.

In the lead-up to the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) in Glasgow, our Capital Markets Practice held a series of seminars focused on the ongoing implementation of ESG as a core principle across capital-raising instruments, and the pivotal role this is playing in accelerating the transition to a more sustainable, lower-carbon world.
