Biography

Overview

Serena is a senior associate in the Firm's International Arbitration and Commercial Litigation groups. She represents corporations and foreign sovereigns in the resolution of complex international disputes. She has represented clients before tribunals constituted under the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), as well as litigation in US federal courts. Serena has extensive experience representing clients under the U.S. Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act, the Federal Arbitration Act, as well as litigation for discovery in aid of foreign proceedings pursuant to 28 USC § 1782. She also handles a wide range of commercial disputes, including those involving major technology companies in areas such as data privacy, cybersecurity, defamation, consumer class actions, and government investigations. In addition, Serena is deeply committed to pro bono work, including by serving as guardian ad litem for minor children in contentious custody disputes, advocating for their best interests in court.
