Veronica Gordon
Biography
Overview
Veronica is a senior associate in the Americas Commercial Litigation Group. Veronica's practice focuses on complex litigation and appeals in federal and state courts.
Veronica has represented foreign and domestic clients in contractual, constitutional, international trade, and bankruptcy matters, among others. Veronica has led trial and appellate teams, as well as served as the lead drafter of pleadings, motions, and appellate briefs. Veronica's writing and oral advocacy skills make her uniquely suited to successfully advocate on behalf of her clients.
Veronica is a native Spanish speaker who has represented clients from Latin America. Veronica's skills serve clients well in matters that require collaboration with foreign counsel, analysis of foreign documents, and an understanding of cultural nuances.
Veronica also has an active pro bono practice. Veronica serves as one of two Pro Bono Champions for the Firm's Miami office. In this role, Veronica sources and distributes pro bono opportunities.
In addition, Veronica serves as Co-Chair of the Miami office's Women's Network and has served as a Writing Mentor for summer associates.
Before joining the Firm, Veronica served as a law clerk to the Honorable Robert N. Scola, Jr. of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida and as a law clerk and staff attorney to the Honorable Adalberto Jordan of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
