Vanessa is an associate in the Firm's Global Commercial Litigation practice, and a member of the Global Technology Industry Group. Her practice focuses on defending multinational technology and social media companies in complex civil litigation and regulatory matters internationally.
Specifically, Vanessa serves as a core member of a team that handles international civil litigation and regulatory matters for Meta and other tech companies, including cutting-edge matters implicating data protection, privacy, intermediary liability, hate speech, defamation, intellectual property infringement, unfair competition, and class action claims. In addition to her litigation work on matters across Latin America and other jurisdictions, Vanessa also helps clients assess the impact of new and proposed legislation and navigate product changes and launches in jurisdictions around the world.
Vanessa's experience includes a secondment as in-house product counsel for Meta.
Vanessa is actively involved in pro bono work with a focus on both international and domestic human rights.
Prior to joining White & Case, Vanessa was an associate at a nationally recognized litigation boutique.
