Biography

Overview

Tony S. Cordeiro is the Chief Technology Officer for White & Case and heads the Global Technology function, covering IT Service Delivery, Operations, Business Application Design, Development and Support, the IT Project Management Office, Cybersecurity and Business Continuity and the IT Relationship Management functions. He oversees all global technology supporting 60+ locations including 46 practice offices, global operations centers and data centers since 2008.

Tony is a senior global technology executive, trusted business advisor, cyber expert, and thought leader in digital technology, process design and business planning. His financial and audit background across multiple industries has equipped him with the ability to address and apply sound judgement to complex business, technical, governance and compliance matters while contributing to sound financial performance of the Firm.

As one of the key architects in enabling professional services firms to improve governance in the area of Cyber Risk Management, Tony has advocated for and jointly established one of the first Cyber Risk Committees in legal professional services consisting of partners, lawyers and firm executives. He leads the discussion around cyber-technology and security operations issues and, moreover, demystifies cyber in order to allow committee members to offer the best legal advice and counsel to the Firm through process and policy development and implementation.

Over the last 30+ years, Tony has been leading large technology teams serving multiple stakeholder groups including working closely with business, oversight and governance leaders. He has directed the technology and cyber operations including digital technology innovation, global project steering committees, security incident response management, remediation and recovery planning. Tony has also been an active leader and speaker in industry forums, conferences and advises vendors on product trends, requirements and direction.

Tony received his Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Statistics from Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. He is a Certified Information Technology Professional and member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (CITP.CPA) and has obtained the Qualified Technology Expert (QTE) certification through the Digital Directors Network while serving in an advisory capacity for various private and public organizations.
