Biography
Overview
Taylor Gillespie is an Associate in White & Case's New York office. Multilingual and trained in both common law and civil law, Taylor represents domestic and international clients in a variety of high-stakes transactions, disputes, and advisory matters.
Taylor's interdisciplinary practice covers environmental matters, including related to environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG), energy transition, climate change, sustainability, and environmental, health and safety (EHS). He has advised clients across a range of industries on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, banking transactions, project development, and regulatory compliance. Taylor has also served as counsel in international investment and commercial arbitrations, US court proceedings, and internal investigations.
Taylor also represents professional sports entities in various matters, from commercial negotiations to cases before the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
Before joining White & Case, Taylor was a personal trainer for professional athletes.

Shutterstock, Inc., a leading global creative platform offering high-quality creative content for transformative brands, digital media and marketing companies, on its acquisition of Envato Pty Ltd., a leader in digital creative assets and templates, for US$245 million.
Mitsui & Co., Ltd. through its United States–based subsidiary, Mitsui E&P USA LLC (MEPUSA), on the acquisition of an unconventional gas asset in Texas, from US oil & gas exploration and production companies Sabana, LLC and Vanna, LLC.
TotalEnergies on its agreement to acquire 100 percent of Talos Low Carbon Solutions, an American company focused on carbon capture and storage.
