Biography
Overview
Simon Caridia is a partner in the Energy, Infrastructure, Project and Asset Finance Group in London.
He focuses his practice on debt financings for infrastructure M&A and private equity transactions. He advises industry sponsors, infrastructure and private equity funds, commercial bank lenders, multilateral agencies, institutional investors and host governments on brownfield transactions and greenfield projects, including acquisitions, refinancings, restructurings, project finance and public-private partnerships.
Experience
Representation of Ancala in relation to its acquisition of International Energy Group from Brookfield.*
Representation of Viridor Laing, as the project company, in relation to the complex restructuring and refinancing of the Manchester Waste project.*
Representation of the six commercial banks and the European Investment Bank in relation to the €800 million Ijmond Sea Lock PPP project in the Netherlands.*
Representation of L1 Energy on its $2.3 billion hybrid acquisition/reserves based lending facility for its acquisition of Dea from RWE.*
Representation of the lenders on the acquisition by Goldman Sachs Infrastructure Partners, 3i and Ilmarinen of Elenia Oy, the Finnish electricity distribution and district heating business.*
