Overview

Sam is an associate in the Environment and ESG sub-group in London, sitting within the wider global Sustainability and Responsible Business industry group.

He advises clients on the ESG aspects of complex cross-border M&A, environmental and social compliance regimes in the UK and EU, ESG corporate reporting and managing and defending regulatory investigations.

Sam's practice covers all aspects of environmental, social, human rights and climate change law, across sectors including chemicals, oil and gas, renewable energy, consumer goods, mining, transport and infrastructure. He has a particular focus on environmental permitting, waste law, carbon trading, biodiversity, contamination, water pollution and international human rights due diligence regimes.

Before joining White and Case Sam was an associate in the Environment and ESG team of a leading global law firm.
