  • The ongoing acquisition, development and financing of an integrated hotel, office and residential project in Atlanta, Georgia having a value in excess of US$1 billion.
  • The divestment of numerous hotels from Starwood Capital Group's portfolio.
  • The acquisition, joint venture and acquisition financing of a 262-unit, 858-bed student housing apartment project in Knoxville, Tennessee.
  • A construction loan, on behalf of the mezzanine lender, for a 242-unit multifamily apartment project in Charlotte, North Carolina.
  • A joint venture with Oaktree Capital Management and NorthPoint Development for ownership and operation of four industrial properties in Pennsylvania known as Tradeport 124.
  • The refinancing of the Thompson Hotel in Chicago, Illinois.
  • The creation of a boutique hotel property to support The Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
  • The development activities for the Rivers Casino in Portsmouth, Virginia as well as several new restaurants, a hotel and conference space.
  • The acquisition by an affiliate of Heitman of a recently developed Class A multi-family property in Charlotte, North Carolina. Crescent Communities, an affiliate of Goldman Sachs, served as the developer and seller.
  • The US$2 billion sale of interests in 245 Park Avenue in New York City and the sale of 181 West Madison Street in Chicago in connection with a chapter 11 plan confirmed by the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
  • The financing of multi-family apartment projects, office buildings and industrial properties throughout the United States.
  • Acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures and development agreements related to data centers and technology parks located throughout the United States.
  • The financing for the acquisition of a hyperscale data center development in the United Kingdom.
  • A developer in connection with the acquisition of land and construction financing for a multi-family property totaling over US$38 million in Chicago, Illinois.
  • The US$189 million sale of office buildings in Denver, Colorado.
  • The acquisition and financing of an industrial property in Columbus, Ohio.
  • The US$68.5 million sale of multi-family properties in Michigan.

Reilly's representative experience includes advising on real estate matters related to the representation of:

  • A consortium composed of Brookfield Infrastructure, its institutional partners and GIC, Singapore's sovereign wealth fund, on the US$8.4 billion acquisition of Genesee & Wyoming Inc. (NYSE: GWR), a freight railroad owner and operator based in the United States. This transaction was named "Private Equity Deal of the Year" by IFLR (2020).
  • Flying Eagle Acquisition Corp. (NYSE: FEAC), a SPAC, in its US$4.3 billion business combination with Skillz, a mobile-gaming company based in California.
  • B. Riley Principal Merger Corp. II, a SPAC, in its US$550 million business combination with Eos Energy Services, a leading manufacturer of zinc hybrid cathode battery energy storage systems.
  • Macquarie Infrastructure Partners in the acquisition of Netrality Data Centers, an owner and operator of strategic interconnected data centers, from funds managed by Abrams Capital Management.
  • Entrepreneurial Equity Partners in a series of acquisitions, including: 
    • The acquisition of Daniele International, a branded leader and private label producer of specialty Italian charcuterie and deli meats, including prosciutto, salami and snack packs.
    • The acquisition of Grecian Delight Foods, a leading manufacturer and marketer of Greek and Mediterranean inspired cuisine.
    • The acquisition of Kronos Foods, a leader and producer of manufacturing and selling global cuisine, including Mediterranean and Middle Eastern foods, ready-to-eat proteins, plant-based proteins and bakery products.
  • Wind Point Partners in a series of transactions, including:
    • The acquisition by Evans Food Group of Turkey Creek Pork Skins, a maker of pork grind products.
    • The sale of Evans Food Group, a leading global producer of branded and private label pork rinds, to Highlander Partners.
