Overview

Reece is an associate in the Global Mergers & Acquisitions team in our Dubai office. He has also spent two years in the firm's London office. He is a UK-qualified lawyer specialising in cross-border M&A, joint ventures, and broader corporate matters such as providing corporate structuring advice. Reece also supports the firm's regulatory practice and has advised technology, media & telecommunications, and state-owned entities on a range of regulatory and compliance matters.

Experience

Representative experience includes advising:

IRH, a subsidiary of IHC on the acquisition of a majority stake in Mopani Copper Mines for a total transaction value in excess of USD 600 million. The transaction included the payment of existing debt and the issuance of new shares.

Carlyle on both public and private phase due diligence in connection with a potential takeover of an AIM listed energy company.

SOCAR on the disposal of its 15% stake in the Absheron gas field to ADNOC, which included the drafting of project documents to include ADNOC as a contract party to the Absheron project, and navigation of governmental guarantees in connection with ADNOC's obligations.

Advising a high net worth individual on the organisation and restructuring of his corporate holdings both in the UAE and outside.

M&G in relation to a subscription to JP Morgan's Infrastructure Investments Fund in connection with assets across Western Europe.

One of Estonia's largest listed banks on its successful Part VII business transfer in record time, ensuring continuity of service provision to its UK banking customers following BREXIT, as part of its wider UK subsidiarisation project.
