Biography
Overview
Nicole Mao is an associate in the Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity Practice, based in Singapore.
Nicole regularly advises on Asia-based private equity sponsors and other financial investors in connection with their transactions across jurisdictions in Asia and globally. Nicole also advises MNCs and financial institutions on a variety of cross-border private and public M&A transactions, joint ventures and corporate finance transactions.
Nicole was recently based in the Shanghai office for a year with the M&A practice group.
Nicole also contributes actively as part of the Singapore office's CSR committee.
Experience
Keppel Capital, a leading owner and operator of data centres across Asia-Pacific and Europe, on its joint venture with Digital Decarbonization Solutions Platform, a digital infrastructure and decarbonized energy delivery company to acquire certain land in Taiwan to develop and operate an 80 MW Tier III-equivalent greenfield data centre campus in North Taiwan. This deal marks Keppel's first data centre project in Taiwan.
EDFI ElectriFI, an EU-funded impact investment facility managed by EDFI MC), Lotus Capital LLC, Maybright and VT Capital on their investment into Freyr Energy, a leading tech-enabled rooftop solar company in India.
Petroliam Nasional Berhad on its approximately US$590 million acquisition of a 29.4 percent interest in the Hai Long offshore wind project (OSW) in Taiwan from Northland Power (a Canadian-listed renewable power producer) and on two subsequent OSW investments in related projects in Taiwan with Northland.
