Nataliia Tuzheliak
Biography
Overview
Nataliia Tuzheliak is an associate in the International Arbitration Group in Paris, currently on secondment to the Firm's London office. Her practice includes both commercial and investment arbitration, with a focus on energy, mining & metals, telecom, and construction disputes. She also has experience with dispute board proceedings, as well as enforcement and annulment proceedings.
Nataliia is trained in both civil and common law. Prior to joining White & Case, Nataliia worked as a litigator in Ukraine and gained experience in international law and dispute resolution in major international law firms and barristers' chambers in London and Paris.
Nataliia is a member of the Associate Leadership team of White & Case's Sovereigns & Public Sector Industry Group. She is a Pro Bono Ambassador of the Firm's Paris office and a winner of White & Case's 2023 Pro Bono Leadership Award. Nataliia leads several pro bono initiatives relating to Ukraine, assists Trial International and Public International Law & Policy Group on a series of Ukraine-related projects and serves on the Board of the International Law and ADR Committees of the Ukrainian Bar Association.

Investment treaty cases
- PCCW Cascade (Middle East) Ltd. v. Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, ICSID Case No. ARB/22/20: Representing the State in a case relating to the operation of a telecommunications business. Ongoing.
- Gardabani Holdings B.V. and Silk Road Holdings B.V. v. Georgia, ICSID Case No. ARB/17/29: Representing the State in annulment proceedings relating to parallel SCC and ICSID arbitrations brought by a major Russian energy company and its subsidiaries in relation to a dispute over the regulation of electricity tariffs. Ongoing.
- Emergofin B.V. and Velbay Holdings Ltd. v. Ukraine, ICSID Case No. ARB/16/35: Represented the State in a dispute over measures targeting an aluminium and alumina production company.*
Construction, infrastructure, and commercial cases
- Advising the Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia on construction projects under the Fédération Internationale des Ingénieurs-Conseils (FIDIC) Red Book ed. 2017 and the FIDIC Pink Book forms of construction contract. Ongoing.
- LCIA Arbitration in London between a cryptocurrency group and a Premier League football club regarding sponsorship agreements in the sports industry. Concluded by amicable settlement.
- ICC Arbitrations and Dispute Board proceedings in Paris under the FIDIC Pink Book form of construction contract. Complete victory for our client.
- ICC Arbitration in London regarding an indoor sports facilities-related construction project. Concluded by amicable settlement.
- Advised a Balkans state-owned energy producer in relation to the Dispute Board proceedings concerning the construction of a water management project under the FIDIC Red Book ed. 2017 form of construction contract. Ongoing.
- Advised a state operator of the gas transportation system in relation to a potential dispute related to disrupted deliveries of natural gas.
- SCC Arbitration in Stockholm regarding the delivery and handling of chemicals.
- LCIA Arbitration in London regarding a uranium mining and exploration project in Mongolia).
