Biography
Overview
Natalia is an associate in the Litigation and International Arbitration Practice Groups of White & Case LLP. Natalia represents and advises clients in the resolution of complex international disputes. Her experience includes representing clients in international arbitrations before the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA), as well as in commercial arbitration and related litigations in various forums. These cases have spanned various sectors, including aviation, energy, infrastructure, mining, pension funds, environment, among others. She also advises clients on high-stakes civil matters across multiple jurisdictions that involve regulatory, legislative, and policy issues.
Ms. Jaramillo is active in several international law and international arbitration organizations, serving as Chair of the Substantive Engagement Committee of the Miami International Arbitration Society (MIAS), Natalia helps lead a full calendar of events and gatherings in Miami and internationally, geared toward engaging young practitioners in thoughtful discussions on contemporary issues in international arbitration. She is also an active member of the Colombian American Bar Association (COLBAR) as well as the Hispanic Bar Association of the District of Columbia - Washington, DC (HBA-DC).
Natalia is also an active member of the Firm's Alianza Affinity Network, which promotes cultural awareness of the Latin American / Hispanic experience, builds community among the Firm's Latino members and promotes the recruitment, retention and professional development of Latino employees.
Ms. Jaramillo graduated cum laude with a joint JD and LLM in International Arbitration degree from the University of Miami School of Law, where she was the President of the International Moot Court Program.

Representative experience includes:
A Canadian gold mining company in an ICSID arbitration in against a Latin American state over the impact of environmental regulations.
Insurance company as claimants in an UNCITRAL arbitration against a South American state Bolivia in connection with the nationalization of the country's pension fund system.
The controlling shareholder in two UNCITRAL proceedings over disputes related to a toll road concession in a South America jurisdiction.
