Morvyn is a partner in the firm's Financial Restructuring and Insolvency group in London.

Morvyn has extensive experience advising companies, insolvency practitioners, banks, investment funds and other financial institutions on cross-border restructurings, insolvencies, distressed debt investments and financings, and other special situations. 

Morvyn was recognised as one of the best up and coming female lawyers under the age of 40 by Law.com (Legal Week) in its 2021 Female Rising Stars list. 

In 2017, Morvyn spent eight months on secondment to the European Special Situations Group of Goldman Sachs in London, advising on restructuring, direct lending, loan purchase and corporate transactions.

Representative Transactions

Hertz
Representation of Hertz Global Holdings, Inc. and certain affiliates in their chapter 11 cases and restructuring negotiations in Europe, Australia and Asia-Pacific. Hertz completed its successful chapter 11 restructuring and its plan of reorganisation became effective on June 30, 2021.This representation is one of the highest profile restructurings arising from the COVID-19 pandemic and one of the most successful chapter 11 and international reorganisations in recent history.

Swissport
Representation of Swissport, the world's leading provider of airport ground services and air cargo handling, on its comprehensive restructuring and recapitalisation. The restructuring provided Swissport with a delevered and strengthened balance sheet by addressing approximately €1.9 billion of existing debt, and left the business with improved liquidity with which to withstand the ongoing challenges posed by the coronavirus pandemic.

Seven Energy

Kaupthing
