Martin Voříšek
Biography
Overview
Martin Voříšek is a member of the Prague office's EIPAF practice group and focuses on energy law and construction law.
Martin has been working for the Prague office of White & Case since 2017. He is frequently involved in advising a number of major clients of the Prague office.
As part of his studies at the faculty of law, he spent a year at Ruhr-Universität Bochum devoted to energy law and mining law. Within the context of his year of studies in Germany, he was awarded the Energy Economy certificate by the Institut für Berg- und Energierecht.
Experience
VIFOR wind farm
Advising a club of eight commercial banks and international financial institutions on the up-to-€291 million financing of the construction of the 461MW VIFOR wind farm in Romania, which will be one of Europe's largest onshore wind farms.
NET4GAS
Representing NET4GAS, acting as the gas TSO in the Czech Republic, in connection with (i) the construction of several gas pipelines designed to increase the gas transmission capacity available in the Czech Republic, and (ii) the obtainment of third party access and ownership unbundling exemptions under the applicable EU legislation.
MVM Group
Representation of Hungary's state-owned energy group MVM on the acquisition of the entire share capital in innogy Česká republika, a.s. (innogy) from innogy Beteiligungsholding GmbH, a member of the innogy/E.ON Group.
ŠKODA JS a.s.
Representing ŠKODA JS a.s., a Czech engineering company and a supplier of technology for the nuclear energy industry, in connection with contractual matters arising under the EPC contract between ŠKODA JS a.s. and Slovenské elektrárne, a.s., the employer, in respect of the completion of Units 3 and 4 of the nuclear power plant in Mochovce, Slovakia.
ČEZ Distribuce
Advising ČEZ Distribuce, the distribution system operator, as to the impact of the adoption of a network code aimed at facilitating the connection of power generators to the distribution grid.
Co-author of the first-ever edition of commentary to the Act No. 165/2012 Coll., on Promoted Energy Sources, 2023.
