Marta is a Portuguese-qualified lawyer based in White & Case's Brussels office, where she has been part of the EU Competition practice since April 2024. She advises clients on a broad range of EU competition and regulatory matters, with a particular focus on antitrust litigation and enforcement. Her sector experience includes the pharmaceutical and digital markets.
Before joining White & Case, Marta worked as an associate at an international law firm in Portugal, where she also completed her two-year Bar traineeship. She gained additional experience at the European Commission's Directorate-General for Competition (DG COMP) as a Blue Book trainee in the Digital Markets Act unit.
Marta holds a Bachelor's degree in Law from the University of Porto, a Master's in Law from Universidade Católica Portuguesa, and an LL.M. in European Legal Studies from the College of Europe in Bruges. She also completed a postgraduate course in Economics for Competition Law at King's College London.
