Biography

Overview

Marius is an associate in the Firm's Dispute Resolution group based in London. His practice includes international arbitration and commercial litigation matters, with a focus on complex cross-border arbitrations.

Marius represents and advises clients from a variety of industries in commercial and construction disputes, and has experience in arbitration proceedings conducted under the rules of a variety of major arbitral institutions. He has also spent time working in White & Case's Geneva office, where he specialised in international arbitration.

Marius is committed to pro bono work and is actively involved in a number of the Firm's pro bono initiatives, including for NGOs and global legal advocacy organizations.

Marius' experience includes:

Acting for an EPC contractor in an ICC arbitration against an employer, in respect of the termination of the EPC contract.

Acting for an African state-owned company in an ICC arbitration brought by a co-shareholder in a public-private partnership, following termination of the shareholder agreement.

Acting for a joint venture party in relation to an ICC arbitration brought by a co-shareholder, in respect of a notice of termination taking effect in the future.

Acting for a South American state-owned energy company in an LCIA arbitration brought by a contractor providing drilling services.

Acting for an African state-owned energy company in an LCIA arbitration against a contractor providing services related to the design and construction of a pipeline.

Acting for an engineering and shipbuilding conglomerate in an LCIA arbitration arising out of a construction contract.
