Biography

Overview

Marios is an associate in the Brussels office of White & Case and a member of the firm's EU law practice group since October 2020.

His practice focuses on European and Greek competition law, including antitrust and merger control.

His expertise includes working on abuse of dominance cases, complex international mergers, cartel investigations, and advising on competition law matters. Marios has been involved in assisting clients in proceedings before National Competition Authorities, the European Commission and EU courts.

Marios has experience across a broad range of industries, including automotive, banking, oil & gas, energy, petrochemicals and metals.

Prior to joining White & Case, Marios worked as an associate at a leading Greek law firm.

Advising Meril on its abuse of dominance complaint before the European Commission against Edwards Lifesciences.

Advising PIF on the establishment of an automotive manufacturing joint venture with Hyundai Motor Company in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Advising Mitsui and Kobe on the establishment of an Omani joint venture for the production of hot briquetted iron.

Advising Saudi Aramco in its various trasnactions in the fuels industry, including the acquisiton of Esmax Distribución in Chile and the acquisition of a controlling minority stake in Gas & Oil Pakistan.

Advising Saudi Aramco on the US$2.65 billion acquisition of Valvoline Inc's global products business.

Advising TAQA on the acquisition of joint control over Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company PJSC.

Advising Sibur on its deal to take over 100% of its Tatarstan based petrochemicals rival TAIF in an equity swap.
