Biography

Overview

Maria Hałasa is an associate in the White & Case Debt Finance practice. She provides legal assistance to clients in banking, finance and security law. In her practice she focuses on advising banks, their consortia, borrowers and other entities on financing, including cross-border financing, based on the LMA standard or local law. She also advises on financial market regulatory issues.

Prior to joining White & Case, Maria gained experience in the banking and finance department of a "Magic Circle" international law firm based in Warsaw and through internships at other large Polish law firms.

RTB House: representation of RTB House, a global online marketing technology company backed by Cinven and one of the 1,000 fastest growing companies in Europe according to the Financial Times in 2023, in connection with the refinancing of the existing debt.

Santander Bank Polska, Alior Bank, Bank Millennium, Bank Polska Kasa Opieki, and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development: representation of a consortium of banks in connection with the financing of Gemini Poland in the form of a revolving facility and reverse factoring.

EBRD: representation of the EBRD in connection with a PLN 60 million loan to NREP's Polish subsidiaries for the purposes of financing two rental housing projects in Warsaw.
