Overview
Marcus is an Associate in the Financial Restructuring & Insolvency Group, primarily advising clients on distressed investing strategies and outcomes, including debt to equity conversion transactions, business restructuring transactions and debt trading.
Marcus also advises insolvency practitioners regarding their appointment to insolvent corporations and the management and disposal of estate assets.
Experience
Advising the administrators of Collection House Limited, a debt collection services provider listed on the ASX, on its successful recapitalisation and sale process.*
Representing WBHO Construction (Pty) Ltd on the successful sale and recapitalisation of its Australian businesses, the Probuild Group.*
Advising the receivers of the Clearstate Property Group, an end-to-end property developer, on all aspects of their appointment, including on the successful restructure and sale of the Group's key projects and assets.*
Representing a minority shareholder in relation to a debt to equity recapitalisation of a senior secured facility for a distressed solar farm asset in Australia.*
Acting for investment funds and alternative asset managers on a broad spectrum of distressed and performing investment strategies.*
