Overview

Mae is an associate in the firm's Energy, Infrastructure, Asset and Project Finance Practice. She has been involved in energy, infrastructure and transportation financings, advising sponsors and other investors (including bank lenders, investment banks, funds and institutional investors) on development and project, structured and acquisition finance transactions in the power and infrastructure industries. She has also represented leasing companies and airlines in asset finance transactions, with a particular emphasis on cross-border acquisitions, leases and financings. Mae helps clients navigate complex, international transactions with innovative, cutting-edge solutions.

Project Finance

Luiz Carlos solar project in Paracatu
Representation of wholly owned Brazil-based subsidiary of Atlas in connection with the development of Atlas's 1,000 MW Luiz Carlos solar project in Paracatu, Minas Gerais, Brazil.

Estrella financing
Representation of Estrella Coöperatief B.A., a subsidiary of I Squared Capital in the financing of a US$175 million facility to be applied toward (i) the repayment of certain 5.875% senior notes due 2027 under a certain indenture entered in to by I Squared Capital's portfolio company, Inkia Energy, and (ii) general corporate matters.

Vale on its joint venture with Anglo American in Brazil
Representation of Vale S.A., a Brazilian multinational corporation engaged in metals and mining and one of the largest logistics operators in Brazil, on its acquisition of 15% of the shares of Anglo American Minério de Ferro Brasil S.A., owner and operator of the Minas-Rio mine in Brazil. Vale will contribute with Serpentina high-grade iron ore resources and a supplemental cash disbursement of US$157.5 million, subject to net debt and working capital variation adjustments at the closing date.

Griffith Energy financing
Representation of the lenders (Crédit Agricole CIB, CIT Bank, ING Capital and Siemens Financial Services) in connection with the US$153.9 million financing of Griffith Energy—a 570 MW natural gas-fired combined-cycle electric generating plant located in Arizona. The debt package consisted of a US$115 million seven-year term loan, a US$31.2 million revolving credit facility and a US$7.7 million debt service reserve facility.
