Biography

Overview

Lucas is a lawyer in White & Case's International Arbitration Practice Group. He represents clients in international arbitration and litigation proceedings as well as in negotiations. His focus lies, in particular, in the areas of M&A, joint ventures, commercial contracts, and other commercial liability issues (including directors' and officers' liability, ESG liability risks, and product liability). He regularly advises clients on issues concerning private international law and cross-border litigation (e.g., taking of evidence and enforcement).

Prior to joining White & Case, Lucas worked for a renowned UK law firm in their arbitration and litigation practice group. During his legal education, he worked in the litigation & arbitration, corporate and tax departments of international law firms. He completed part of his legal training working for a Justice of the Federal Constitutional Court (Bundesverfassungsgericht).

Lucas studied law in Heidelberg, Germany, and in Istanbul, Turkey. During his studies, he worked at the Institute for Public Law, Constitutional Theory and Philosophy of the University of Heidelberg.various associations on "Digital Corporate Finance" matters.
