Biography

Overview

Jochen advises investment banks, issuers and other market participants on the entire range of German and international debt capital markets products. He has a particular focus on bond issues of all types, issued by corporates, financial institutions and sovereigns, as well as quasi-sovereign institutions. Jochen also benefits from almost 20 years of experience with (structured) debt instruments linked to all types of asset classes and underlying economic structures, with an emphasis on multijurisdictional placements. He has worked on hundreds of (structured) Schuldscheine and German registered bonds (Namensschuldverschreibungen), with a connection to jurisdictions across the globe. Furthermore, his practice also includes the establishment of, and on-going advice on, issuance programs, and any associated securities and regulatory matters. Prior to joining White & Case in early 2004, Jochen gained extensive experience in international capital markets law by working for six years in the London and Frankfurt offices of an international law firm.
