Overview

Jenny is an associate in the Project Development and Finance practice based in Singapore. She advises on the development and financing of large-scale energy and infrastructure projects including in the conventional and renewable power, mining, oil and gas, petrochemical and transportation infrastructure sectors. Jenny has particular experience representing Chinese state-owned entities, export credit agencies, commercial lenders and companies on their investments throughout Asia and the rest of the world.

Experience

Jenny's experience includes representation of:

  • S Alam Group and SEPCOIII in the development of a 2 x 660MW super-critical power project at Chittagong, Bangladesh with US$1.8 billion financing from a Chinese bank syndicate (including CDB, BOC and CCB as mandated lead arrangers).*
  • A large global group of ECAs, including JBIC, NEXI, KEXIM, KSURE, UKEF, SACE and CESCE, on the multi-billion dollar RAPID Refinery and Petrochemical project in Malaysia. The deal won Project Finance Deal of the Year at the 2020 IFLR Asia-Pacific Awards and Asia-Pacific Petrochemical Deal of the Year by PFI 2019.*
  • ECAs (including KEXIM and KSURE) and lenders in connection with the financing of the 2,000MW Jawa 9+10 power project in Suralaya, Indonesia. The deal is recognized as APAC Power deal of the year at the IJGlobal Awards 2020.*
  • ICBC and CEXIM in connection with the financing for the Duyen Hai II 2x600 MW coal-fired power plant located in Vietnam.*
  • CEXIM in connection with the financing provided to the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Guinea for the development of the 450 MW Souapiti Hydropower Plant and the restructuring of the Kaleta Hydropower Plant totaling $2.3 billion.*
  • The mezzanine lender in connection with the financing of Udenna Corporation’s acquisition of a 45% stake held by Chevron in the Malampaya deep-water gas-to-power project offshore Palawan, Philippines and the subsequent financing of Udenna Corporation’s acquisition of a 45% stake held by Shell in the same project.*
  • Lenders, including Bank of China and China Minsheng Bank Corporation in connection with the financing of the 2.1 MTPA Woodfibre liquefaction plant project located in Squamish, British Columbia, Canada.*
  • The sponsor in the development and financing of a 900 KTPA copper smelter project in South Benete (Otakeris), Sumbawa, Indonesia and the relevant supply arrangements. Main responsibilities include preparing and negotiating the lump sum turnkey contract with a Chinese state-owned company as the contractor.*
  • The commercial lenders in the US$ 403.8 million financing of a hyperscale data center in Jakarta, Indonesia for PT Graha Teknologi Nusantara, a subsidiary of the sponsor EdgeConneX International Cooperative U.A.*
  • The Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited and KSURE in connection with a $170 million 5-year term loan facility for LG Display Vietnam Haiphong Co., Ltd in respect of a manufacturing plant in Vietnam.*
