Overview

Jenny is a Counsel in the Global Real Estate Industry Group and Global Mergers & Acquisitions practice based in Sydney.

Jenny has over 10 years of experience in advising clients on a broad range of real estate transactions, with a specialised focus on renewable energy and infrastructure projects. She is fluent in Chinese Mandarin and has acted for clients across both the public and private sectors including developers, local councils, government agencies and financiers on major renewable energy and infrastructure projects, acquisition and disposal of real estate assets, commercial and retail leasing, and large scale off-the-plan residential and mixed-use developments.

Vestas
Advised Vestas on a number of wind farm projects in Australia, including Winterbourne Wind Farm (700 MW capacity) near Walcha NSW, Piambong Wind Farm (550 MW capacity) near Mudgee NSW, and Captains Mountain Wind Farm (250 MW capacity) in QLD, including advising on structuring of the property documents as well as preparing and negotiating transaction documents including options to lease, options for easement, leases, easements, rent agreements and financier tripartite deeds. *

Origin Energy
Advised on the acquisition of the Yarrabee Solar Farm in NSW and the Carisbrook Solar Farm in VIC including property due diligence, negotiating transaction documents, advising on access issues and negotiating priority of property interests with TransGrid. *

Endeavour Energy
Advised on the negotiation of an option for lease, lease and ancillary ground licence for a battery storage facility at Penrith, NSW, and preparing template option for lease and lease documents for future battery storage projects. *

RWE
Advised on the subdivision and transfer of land to TransGrid for the construction and operation of a substation for the Limondale Solar Farm project. *

Australian Retirement Trust
Advised on the acquisition of a 49% stake in 3 key industrial
assets from Mirvac at Auburn and Kemps Creek in Sydney with a combined purchase price of over $500 million, involving property due diligence and the negotiation of highly complex development management agreements and property management agreements for each of the assets. *

Logos
Advised on the negotiation of a complex umbrella deed and two contracts of sale with Amplitel for a land swap and the relocation of a mobile tower at Logos' Huntingwood Industrial Estate. *

Equinix
Advised on the acquisition of a data warehouse site at Mascot with a transaction value of over $120 million, including full purchaser due diligence, obtaining FIRB approval and negotiating the contract of sale and ancillary documents. *

Starwood
Advised on the property due diligence and property and security issues in the financing of Blackstone's acquisition of the Crown Group with a transaction value of over $8 billion. *

Qualitas
Advised on the property aspects of a senior syndicated construction debt facility advance under its AU $600m funding package for the AURA by Aqualand luxury mixed use development in North Sydney.*
